PURE IMAGINATION by GENE WILDER
I woke up with this song going through head and figured I’d post it.
“Pure Imagination” is a song from the 1971 movie Willy Wonka & the Chocolate Factory.
It was written by Leslie Bricusse and Anthony Newley specifically for the movie and does not appear in the original book by Roald Dahl or the 2005 film adaptation by Tim Burton.
It was sung by Gene Wilder (Willy Wonka).
cornbread and butterbeans and you across the table.
Andrew Bird - Tenuousness
so procreate and pay your taxes
What I wouldn’t Do - A Fine Frenzy
If I were old, my dearest, you would be older
But I would crawl upon your lap
Wrap a blanket ‘round our frail little shoulders
And I’d die happily like that

This is just so perfect. Will this band ever not amaze me??
today is october 1st. here in florida, we’re finally getting a few inklings that autumn may be hitting us soon. that being, our version of autumn, not the rest of the world’s. this means, highs between 78 and 83, with lows in the mid to upper 60s. this probably sounds pretty warm to the rest america, but, to us, it’s sweet relief from the highs of 95, with humidity of 2000 percent. but, because i can feel fall inching it’s way towards central florida, i’ve been in the greatest mood, and i’ve been wanting to do all kinds of seasonal things. this morning, i made a pot of coffee, and i put some ground cinnamon in with the coffee grounds, and then i mixed in some hazelnut agave, and vanilla soymilk. seriously, it’s the best thing i’ve ever tasted. now, i really want to bake all kinds of autumn goodness, like homemade pumpkin pie, and i’m also on a mission to learn how to make my own mead.
